African Lioness the Poetess

Zuhura Seng’enge 'The African Lioness' is a performance poet in Tanzania who uses her gift to inspire and empower the young generation of artists in Tanzania, as well as to promote the art of poetry in Tanzania. Zuhura has participated in literary, social cultural, and art events such as; The Woman Scream International Poetry Festival (2014 and 2015), Pan African Women's Day Programme (2015), Mwalimu Nyerere Professional Chair in Pan-Africanism 7th Intellectual Festival (2015), Tanzania and Ireland Women Creative Agency in Liberation (2016), the East Africa Vibes Concert (2016) and others. Some of her works and performances can be found at Badilisha Poetry Xchange and her you tube channel 'Zuhura the African Lioness'. She successful launched her first audio poetry collection tittled 'WARRIOR UNLEASHED' on 15th July 2016 where by some of the poems in that CD are like 'Cheers 2 the Women', 'Nyumbani Pazuri Nyumbani', 'Ndoto Kubwa', 'A Beautiful Land' and others.
